Kendyl Johnson - Lighting Design



A Bit About Me
Kendyl is a Boise based Lighting Designer, Master Electrician, and Programmer for theatre and enjoys working closely with all artistic minds! She has worked in Boise and is ready to grow her knowledge regionally and internationally.

Born and raised in Simi Valley, California, Kendyl graduated from Boise State University with a BA in Theatre Arts and a Minor in Film and Television Arts. During her education, Kendyl made her mark in the Theatre Department. She started programming for Wolf/Girl, then later when into a Lighting Designer role for the Theatre Departments club, TMA {Theatre Makers Association}, for Amdram is Murder. Her last educational production was Lighting Designer for BSU's annual Charlie Brown Christmas.

Kendyl has also worked in non-educational settings, Boise Contemporary Theatre is one she was worked with extensively. She has been Master Electrician, Lighting Designer, and a Programmer for BCT. Kendyl has worked extensively with BCT's Educators, Jen Stockdall-Fortner, Alyssa Staltedler and Dayna Smith for their twice annual Theatre Labs; local kids from ages 12-18 create their own one act plays which are then presented at Boise Contemporary Theatre.
Kendyl lives in Boise, Idaho with her sister and her gal pals 'Ladysoup'. She is not a member of a union, as of yet. In her spare time, Kendyl loves to read, hangout with her friends, and bike around the city.
